Abstract Background Choroid plexus papillomas (CPPs) are histopathologically benign and rare central nervous system tumors. These tumors remain more frequent in children than adults. It is infrequent for these to cause a sudden unexpected death. We aim this case discuss the unusual fatal presentation of choroid papilloma mechanism Case we report 61-year-old man with no medical history, diagnosed at autopsy previously unknown CPP. Initial complaints were chronic headache occurring last month acute chest pain two days. The forensic including histopathologic examination showed tumoral mass fourth ventricle as psammomatous death was attributed massive cerebral edema caused by mass. Conclusions Through report, stress importance an early vigorous investigation every detection tumor highlight well role post mortem detect such complication.
